The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce runs the Best of Katy awards each year, and the winners are decided by community vote rather than by a panel or a paid entry. In 2025, Gavri Orthodontics was voted 1st Place Orthodontist.

We mention it for a specific reason. Our office is not inside Katy city limits, so being chosen first by the Katy community is a meaningful thing. Those votes came from families who chose to drive here, and then chose to vote for us. That is a better indicator of what the experience is actually like than anything we could write about ourselves.

Where We Are, Honestly

We are at 26440 FM 1093 #B100, Richmond, TX 77406. That is not in Katy, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.

What it is, is a straight run down FM 1093 from the Cinco Ranch and Katy area. For most families in south and west Katy the drive is comparable to crossing Katy itself, and FM 1093 avoids the worst of the I-10 congestion entirely.

The practical question is not how far away we are but how many trips you make. Orthodontic treatment involves regular visits over 12 to 24 months, so the drive matters. Two things reduce it: we run two orthodontists, which makes appointment times more flexible, and Invisalign and clear aligner patients typically come in every six to eight weeks rather than every four.

Worth knowing: there is genuinely nothing different about the treatment or the fee because you are coming from Katy. Orthodontic pricing here is based on case complexity, not on your postal code.

Two Board-Certified Orthodontists

Every orthodontist completes dental school plus a two to three year specialty residency. Board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics is a further voluntary step involving examination and case review, and only a minority of orthodontists complete it. Both of our doctors have.

Dr. Aaron Gavri takes on much of our complex and surgical case work. Dr. Mary Kate Gavri focuses on family-centred care and is often the better match for nervous children and first-time patients.

For a family travelling in, two doctors is a practical advantage: more appointment slots, and complex cases reviewed by both without needing an outside referral.

Insurance and Payment

We accept most major dental plans, including Aetna, Cigna, MetLife, United Concordia, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Principal. Orthodontic coverage is usually a lifetime benefit rather than an annual one, and we verify your specific plan before treatment starts. In-house monthly payment plans are available for the remaining balance.
